The 18th century-style chateau is located in the heart of the Loire Valley and is a very attractive and imposing building with 25 hectares park surrounding it. There is a spa, large pool, tennis courts with all the equipment. The restaurant’s two dining rooms feature marble floors and gilded pillars. It serves excellent food. With good weather, you can sit on the outside terraces and enjoy the views during the meal. The chateau inside is beautiful with fabulous decor, fine antique furnishing, typical of this type of chateau (large rooms across the width of the building. The staff goes out of their way to keep also the four-legged guests happy.

The Relais du Silence Château de Nieuil is a former François the First’s hunting manor. It is located between Cognac and Limoges, a lovely region where you will have a peaceful moment.
It offers 7 bedrooms and 3 suites. Each is unique, given its character by furnishings in differing styles, ranging from Louis XIII to the Thirties, all chosen with care.
The rooms are huge and you get welcomed with flowers and a welcome drink. and the breakfast was plentiful and used bio and local produce, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The Chateau de Saint Loup is managed by the friendly and accommodating owners. It is beautifully set in a 50-hectare park and is located in the southern part of the Loire Valley. Both castles at the property and the other outbuildings are beautiful and well restored. The gardens are delightful. The owners, Charles-Henri and Sophie, can give lots of interesting information about the place and its history.
The bedrooms are all located on the upper floors of this classic French building. They are massive, warm and feature four-poster beds. Each room has a bathroom and most have a bathtub.
On the ground floor, there is a fully-equipped kitchen with a large dining room. The guest salon boasts a flat-screen TV and a bar area. The Chateau has original paintings and wall friezes that lend to its history. There are parts of the Chateau that are in ruins but this just shows what a huge project it is to restore it.
Guests can enjoy walking in the extensive woodland surrounding the chateau. It is also possible to swim, windsurf and fish at the Lake du Cébron, which is only 2 km away. The Chateau de Saint-Loup-sur-Thouet is approximately 60 km from both Saumur and Poitiers.
